The heart of the Metzeler Ultratube Mattress is the newly developed Rubex Tubes System. The cold formed foam tubes in the mattress form a vertical tube system for perfect air circulation. The tubes, which differ in colour according to their degree of hardness, are integrated into the complete surface. This guarantees the user an ergonomically perfect lying position. Up to 200 litres of perspiration a year leave the body and go into the mattress. The Rubex Tubes System dispels this moisture through the vertical air channels.
Tubes
The tubes make up a system of vertical pipes for perfect air circulation during sleep. The tubes of varying degrees of firmness are arranged to provide an ergonomically ideal sleeping posture reducing the risk of injury caused by shear and friction.
Edge
Reinforced edge makes it easy to get in and out of bed and helps prevent roll-out.
Cover
Standard with a bi-elastic, two-way stretch, waterproof, breathable cover, designed to reduce shear and friction forces. Stain resistant, fire-resistant, waterproof, antiallergenic, antimicrobial, hygienically clean. Can be machine washed up to 95ºC. Antibacterial treated.
Multi-zone system
The Rubex Tubes System is symmetrically structured so that you always lie straight. The castellated foam increases surface contact area.
Easy care mattress
Metzeler mattresses are fully washable in temperatures up to 60ºC; a temperature suitable for killing dust mites, with no degradation of the foam.
